At our core is a passion for life - its ups, downs and sideways - and finding new and powerful ways of celebrating those moments that go to make up the rich tapestry of a personal and family history - your history

Murphy's Law

If it adds to the sum total of human happiness you do it and if it doesn't you don't

With these words Lionel Murphy conveyed the critical role that he saw celebrants taking in Australian society and the responsibilities that come with it. Even now more than 30 years after his passing, this is still our primary guiding principle.

BACKGROUND

Beyond Celebrancy was born out of a true desire to have input into the community while still being a part of it. Our humble beginings started at a desk for Justice of the Peace volunteers. With a small amount of guidance and prodding by someone who saw within us a community focus with a passion for life, our vision shifted from a purely administrative focus in providing JP services to helping people mark moments in their lives with powerful ceremonies. From a single idea Beyond Celebrancy has grown into collaboration that delivers attention to detail, flexibility, humour and dignity to the lives of growing number of people by creating and performing ceremonies that showcase and celebrate who they are.

As with all ventures you quickly find out that no one person can do everything. We draw on the talents of graphic artisans, administrative ninjas, logistical heros and of course our celebrant to ensure we have the right skills designing and delivering within their speciality resulting in a well rounded, tailored and industry leading service that we are all truly proud of.

Scott Broadbridge-Brown, J.P. CMC

Scott comes to celebrancy with a fresh approach and a driving passion that comes only from truly believing in and loving what you do. After a very successful career in information technology, Scott came to the realisation that being part of the community was far more rewarding than sitting behind a screen. Scott has celebrated marriages, commitment ceremonies, baby namings and renewal of vows enhancing the ceremonies for the couples and families involved while feeling grealtly honoured to share in these extraordinary moments along side them. To further cement the Beyond Celebrancy community spirit, Scott architected and launched the Giving It Back program in 2015. Scott is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church Monastery and a firm supporter of marriage equality

Scott lives on Gadagal/Wangal land, and uses the pronouns he and him.

Darren Goh

Darren brings an extraordinary finance, budgeting, business process engineering and continuous improvement focus to everything we do. Constant audit and review means that each time we do something, we do it better than we did the last time.
